New to the area and wanted to try a local family restaurant. My wife and I both had the catfish dinner. It was fried to perfection and the Cole slaw was spot on. Being seniors we decided to go on a Wednesday and it cost us less than $30 total with our drinks. Our server was very informative and very pleasant. We will definitely be back again for more. It's a must stop.
Fantastic food!. Our first visit. Great menu choices and value. We all took home a lot of leftovers. Best Calabash shrimp that I've ever eaten. Highly recommended!
Can't believe I forgot to take photos of our food Had to try this Limestone staple. Always drive by and finally went in for Friday night dinner. Packed as we usually see it. Love that for a community. We got one Small/Senior size 2 item plate of scallops and catfish (fried). These were tasty, but really only taste the coating. Sides of cottage cheese and side salad w balsamic vinaigrette (whole bottle!) The salad was sad as it was super tiny shredded lettuce and just didn't seem that fresh. My husband got the daily cat fish special 12.99 for 3 catfish tenders and side salad and green beans. It was a sad looking/emptyish plate. I fed him some of mine. Beans were sugary was his comment. Maybe next time if we come back we'd try the grilled options Atmosphere needs some help cleaning and some thoughts on areas. Remove the fish tanks (which we didn't even see and add more seating. 1st booth in restaurant was not even used for customers, but for supplies and waitresses to gather?? Our waitress was super sweet!
Great home cooking and great seafood. Grilled or fried. They hand batter everything themselves, even the wonderful fried green tomatoes.
Nice, small but cozy restaurant. We had the flounder and catfish lunch specials, fish was served piping hot and breaded with cornmeal vs. flour, which is a big plus in our opinion. Slaw was fresh and tasty. Onion rings were homemade, not frozen, and were delicious. They also have a unique cornbread salad side dish, which consists of cornbread crumbles, sweet peas, carrot slivers, slaw dressing, and is very good. We will definitely be back to try their other specials.
Great food and service. Hidden gem mom and pop joint. The grilled shrimp with Cajun seasoning and the fried okra were amazing.
This special was last week for crab legs ate jumbo shrimp four pieces of catfish three sides. It was wonderful. You can have your fish and your shrimp grilled steamed breaded however, you want it they will do it for you. It was excellent.
